Variety Bag Competition 2006

£3,300 of prizes to be won!

Claim your free Texere Yarns Variety Bag and enter your work in our second textiles competition, proudly hosted in collaboration with Stitch with the Embroiderers' Guild.

The Competition

Texere Yarns will send you a free Variety Bag. Variety Bags contain an assortment of mainly fancy yarns including ribbon, glitter, chenille, mohair, loop, slub and boucle. Each bag contains 3m each of 15 different yarns all of the same colourway. There are 19 colourways to choose from. Using the contents of your variety bag as your main source of yarn, your challenge is to use your creative talents to produce a stunning piece of textiles work using any technique you choose. Entries should not exceed A4 in size. Previous winning entries have used embroidery, couching, weaving, embellishing, crochet, lace, tassel and braid making, knitting and applique in all possible combinations. You are free to add other media, such as buttons, beads, bondaweb, wire or raffia to your work.
