Sublime Cashmere Merino Silk DK

Some of these new shades are very similar to the original palette, so the scans will deliberately look very alike!! Please phone us first if you need help. Sublime means..."of the highest or noblest nature" and I think that just about sums up this yarn. It is soft and smooth and perfect for luxurious knitwear for adults and babies as it can be worn next to even the most sensitive of skins.
image of Sublime Cashmere Merino Silk DK
  • 75% extra fine merino, 20% silk, 5% cashmere - made in Italy. Cool hand wash, do not tumble dry.
  • Knit as approx DK - 116m per ball. 22 stitches and 28 rows will give a 10cm tension square on 4mm needles.
  • The manufacturers have created two ranges of this yarn - one for babies and one for non-babies!! However the yarn is exactly the same - so white is exactly the same in both ranges, except the balls band are different (so don't be put off if you are knitting for a 40 year old and the ball band says "baby"!) So what we have done is combine the colours so you can select from the full range - so a baby can wear black and an adult can wear peach!
  • The yarn has a lovely spiral type crepe twist which was all the rage at the trade show, but we think that this is the best and it has a wonderful range of patterns to compliment it.
  • £4.15 per 50g ball [Convert Currency]

Twilleys Freedom Wool

*New* Lower price. This is a beautiful soft, multi coloured and solid coloured pure wool of approx chunky thickness, ideal for knitting and felting. This lovely wool is very similar to our own ecru Bella.

  • The ballband suggests you knit on 10mm needles with a tension of 10 stitches and 14 rows over a 10cm square. 50m per ball.
  • Gentle hand wash, do not tumble dry, cool iron, unless you need to felt it of course! The images shown were both exactly the same size then the piece on the right had one adventure in the washing machine at 40 degrees!
  • This yarn is excellent for colourful chunky knitwear and there are some fantastic patterns to choose from. The low twist means it's a fantastic yarn for felting and we have lots of patterns and booklets showing how effective it can be for making felted handbags and accessories. A couple of shades are now discontinued and are marked with **, but we still have plenty of balls in stock, please call us first if you'd like us to check quantities. And to replace these we have just taken delivery of 4 new shades for Autumn '08.
