Colour & Thickness

The images on our website are for guidance only. Images are not necessarily to scale. Images should be viewed along with the descriptions of colour and thickness given for each product. We do our best to ensure that our images are accurate reproductions of our yarns. The settings of your monitor (brightness, contrast, colour settings) will influence the way the images appear on your screen. We will happily refund the value of unused yarns returned if you are not satisfied with the colour, but we regret that we CANNOT refund ANY postage charges (unless we have made an error). ALWAYS order sufficient yarn to complete a project as dye lots change and we cannot guarantee to match the same dye at a later date.

Bargain Offers

Products marked "BARGAIN OFFER" in our catalogue and on our website are mainly discontinued lines and run ends. They are often unique, unrepeatable and in short supply. You should order as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment, because once they are gone, they will NOT be repeated. Be sure to order sufficient quantities to complete your project. If your required colour has sold out the closest possible match will be sent unless otherwise advised (please send us an email if you don't want substitute colours).

Making A Purchase

To purchase products online, browse our catalogue using the links on each page, and put any items that you wish to buy into your shopping basket by clicking on the "add to basket" button next to each product. You can view the contents of your basket at any time by clicking on the "view basket" link at the top of every page. The shopping basket shows the cost of postage for your order. By default, postage is shown for the UK. If you want your order sending overseas, select your country from the drop-down list and click on the "update basket button". When you have made your selection, click on the "Proceed to checkout" button to go to the checkout. You will be asked to log in, and if you have not shopped on our website before you will need to register. All we need is a username (your email address, so we can send you confirmation of your order) and a password. We will then ask you for your delivery address and billing address. You will have one last chance to check the details of your order before we transfer you to Protx, our secure payments partner where you will be asked for your credit or debit card details. Once your order is complete, you will receive two emails - one confirming your order and delivery details and another confirming that your credit or debit card payment was safely processed by Protx. Please not that our payment system is "live" - we take your money when you are at the checkout. This allows us to process your order even more quickly and securely!

How to Pay

For orders placed on the website we accept credit / debit card payment by Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Maestro, Solo and Electron via our secure online shopping system. We regret that we cannot accept American Express or Diners Card. You can also send your order by post with a cheque if you prefer not to pay online. (Please do not use the online ordering system if you wish to pay by cheque).

If you are shopping from outside the United Kingdom, your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.

Your credit / debit card will be charged at the checkout. Please double check your order before checking out!

Postage and Packaging

Postage and packaging charges are shown in the shopping basket. By default, the shopping basket shows UK postage. If you want your order sending overseas, select your country from the drop-down list and click on the "update basket" button. The cost of postage and packaging is calculated from the total weight of your order.

In general, orders weighing less than 2kg will be sent by Royal Mail and orders over 2kg will be sent by Parcelforce 48 hour courier service.

V.A.T. (Value Added Tax)

All prices on our website include UK V.A.T. at 17.5%. Customers within the European Union all pay UK V.A.T. If you live outside the European Union, you do not pay V.A.T., and V.A.T. will be deducted from your order. Delivery Times

We do our best to process and despatch all orders within 5 working days. During busy periods this time frame can increase and we will endevour to dispatch orders as soon as possible. If you have not received your order (or an email offering an alternative delivery schedule) within 7 working days of placing it at our website, please contact us. International orders usually take longer to arrive. For orders outside the U.K. please allow 28 days for delivery.


Out of Stock Items

Occasionally products are temporarily out of stock. This can cause a delay whilst we wait for yarns to be spun or dyed to our specification. If a product you have ordered is out of stock, we will contact you to let you know when we expect new stocks to arrive and when you can expect your order to be delivered. You will always have the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

We do our best to keep our website up to date, but occasionally products sell out. If an item you have ordered has sold out we will contact you. We will try to recommend an alternative product.

Credit Card Security

All credit card transactions are handled by Protx. Protx is the largest independent Payment Service Provider in the UK. Protx has achieved the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI). Protx adheres to the most stringent levels of fraud screening, ensuring that your details remain secure throughout the transaction process. Protx is so secure, we don't have access to your card number!

Returns & Refunds

Your right to cancel the contract:

If you return an item in an unused condition within fourteen days of delivery we will be happy to refund the original price of the item (subject to a £1 administration charge) or send you an exchange. This does not affect your statutory rights. We regret that postage and packing are direct costs and cannot be refunded. Please note: Texere Yarns does not pay the cost of return postage. There is a £1 administration charge for all refunds unless we have made an error.

To return goods, please package them securely and send them to Texere Yarns, College Mill, Barkerend Road, Bradford, BD1 4AU. We recommend you use a recorded delivery service.

Faulty goods:

We take great care to ensure the quality of the products we supply, but should they prove to be faulty we will replace or refund the value of the goods in full. Please send faulty goods to Texere Yarns, College Mill, Barkerend Road, Bradford, BD1 4AU. We recommend you use a recorded delivery service. We will, of course, refund the full cost of return postage. This does not affect your statutory rights.
